A withdrawal occurs when the Student Contract is terminated, and the student is no longer considered a student of Beacon International College.
A legitimate reason for withdrawal must be provided.
Complete supporting documents must be submitted.
For students under 18 years of age, prior approval from a parent or guardian must be obtained.
The processing time for a withdrawal request is fourteen (14) working days from the date the request is submitted by the student.
Once the outcome has been determined, a letter will be issued to the student, stating the result of the request and the student’s overall attendance rate.
A deemed withdrawal refers to situations where a student has not submitted a formal withdrawal request, but their actions imply an intention to withdraw. This includes:
No-show students who fail to report to Beacon International College by the expiry date of their In-Principle Approval (IPA) from ICA.
Students who decide not to appeal a Student Pass renewal rejection and/or remain uncontactable for seven (7) days thereafter.
Students who do not return and/or are uncontactable for seven (7) days after the end of an approved deferment period.
In all such cases, the withdrawal policy will be applied accordingly.
When a student indicates a desire to withdraw, the Marketing Staff and/or Student Services Staff will first engage the student to understand the reason for withdrawal and attempt to resolve any issues to encourage the student to continue with their studies.
If the student still wishes to proceed with the withdrawal:
The student must complete the Withdrawal Form and provide the necessary supporting documents.
The Student Services Staff will explain the terms and conditions listed on the form, including the implications on fees, student pass status (for international students), and other relevant matters.
The student must sign the form to acknowledge that the information has been explained and understood.
The request will be submitted to the Admin Manager for review and approval.
Once a decision is made:
The Student Services Staff will issue an official outcome letter detailing the decision and the student’s overall attendance rate.
The student’s existing Student Pass will be cancelled, and the Student Contract will be terminated.
