What is the transfer policy of Beacon International College?

A transfer occurs when student changes the course or period of study (from full-time to part-time or vice versa) before completion but remains as a student of Beacon.

What are the conditions for approval?

  1. There must be a legitimate reason for the transfer.
  2. Complete supporting documents must be submitted.
  3. The student’s highest qualification must meet the entry requirements of the new course.
  4. For students under 18 years of age, prior approval from a parent or guardian must be obtained.


What is the timeline for the transfer procedure?

  1. The processing time for a transfer request is fourteen (14) working days from the date the request is submitted.
  2. Once a decision has been made, a letter will be issued to the student informing them of the outcome.


What is the procedure for transfer?

  1. When a student decides to transfer, the Marketing Staff conducts pre-course counselling for the new course.
  2. The student completes the Transfer Form and submits the required supporting documents.
  3. The Student Services Staff explains the terms and conditions stated in the Transfer Form, including implications such as fees and student pass status (for international students).
  4. The student signs the Transfer Form to acknowledge that they have understood all relevant details.
  5. The Admissions Staff reviews the student’s highest qualification to ensure that the entry requirements for the new course are met.
  6. The Admin Manager reviews the transfer request and either approves or rejects it.
  7. The Student Services Staff issues a formal letter indicating the outcome of the transfer request.
  8. If the transfer is approved, a new student pass will be applied for, and a new course contract will be generated and signed by the student.
